The health and safety of its students, faculty and staff are primary concerns at Wake Forest University. For this reason, the university requires all individuals traveling internationally on Wake Forest funds to submit a set of forms and information to the Center for International Studies. This includes individuals traveling to international conferences, international research trips, international trips funded through grants, etc., who study or work on Reynolda Campus. All required forms and information must be submitted to the Center for International Studies (CIS) at least one month before individual travel begins. Wake Forest will not disburse funds for international travel until the required forms and information have been submitted to the Center for International Studies and necessary signatures have been received.
WFU prohibits travel to countries where the U.S. Department of State has issued a travel warning unless prior approval has been obtained from the CIS. A current list of travel warnings is available at http://www.travel.state.gov/. Faculty, staff and students may submit a request to travel to a country with a travel warning, but should be aware that such requests require additional time for review and that approval of such requests is never automatic.
